Nacho Cheese

Nacho cheese


Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1.5 cup milk
  • .25 tsp paprika
  • .25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • .25 tsp onion powder
  • .25 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups freshly grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make a roux; melt butter in saucepan. Whisk in flour until lightly browned.
  2. Pour milk in, whisking.
  3. Add in spices.
  4. Heat until thickened.
  5. Add in cheese a little at a time until melted.
  6. Add salt and pepper.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Do not reheat in microwave. Test cheese with chips before adding salt/pepper.
